Did you see a map on our site that you want to use for your website or report?

Stock maps (maps designed by World Sites Atlas and displayed on our website) are available for use on websites or in documents. Details on our usage and licensing policies can be found below.

Free Maps

Would you like to use a couple of our maps on your website FREE?

You can use up to two of our stock maps on your web page for free if you agree to the following conditions and fill out the permission request form below:

1. COPYRIGHT: World Sites Atlas is the author of and retains copyright on its stock map images. You may be authorized to use them, but they remain property of World Sites Atlas.
2. MAP LIMIT: A maximum of two map images may be used on any particular website. If you would like to use more maps, please see Paid Licensing below.
3. MODIFICATIONS: Stock map images may be modified, cropped, or altered, so long as the copyright on the map is retained. We can also customize your map for a small fee, if you prefer.
4. BACKLINK: A live link back to any page on the World Sites Atlas website must appear near each map, such as Map by World Sites Atlas (sitesatlas.com) when the map has not been modified, or Base Map by World Sites Atlas (sitesatlas.com) when the map has been altered. Anchor text must not be smaller than font size -1 (small).
5. DISCLAIMER: These maps are provided on an "as is" basis. World Sites Atlas cannot guarantee that the data presented in its maps is error free. Our maps are intended for reference purposes only and not for navigation. World Sites Atlas will accept no liability for consequential and indirect damages arising from the use of its maps and will not be liable for damages.
6. USE BY THIRD PARTY: These map images may not be sold or transferred to any third party. If someone contacts you about one of our maps on your site, please refer them to our website.
7. WEBSITE RESTRICTIONS: Your website may in no way promote racial, ethnic, political, or hate mongering; infringe on any personal or intellectual property rights; promote illegal substances or activities; or display material that defames, abuses, or threatens physical harm.
8. MAPS BY OTHER PROVIDERS: This agreement applies only to maps designed by World Sites Atlas and not to maps by Google or any other provider.
9. PERMISSION REQUEST FORM: The form below must be properly completed for permission to be granted.

Paid Licensing

If you would like to use one of our stock maps in your presentation or report, or would like to display more than two of our maps on your website, we sell licenses. Prices range from $25 to $50, depending on the map, and are on a per map basis, regardless of circulation or the type of media used. We offer a 10% discount on orders of ten maps or more. Some maps are available in higher resolutions and different formats.

We can also make a brand new map to meet your specific needs. Many different styles are available and most maps cost between $50-100. Please see our custom mapping page for more information.
